Disillusioned World-Savers can´t find jobs

This is a really interesting article that I know many of my friends as well as myself can relate to. Are there just too many world-savers on the globe? I think the better question is, are most of us, especially in the West, just too unwilling to donate/fund/support NGOs? How can we create or raise enough philantrophic capital to employ all of the well-educated folks who want to reduce poverty and make a difference in the world?
